The Pattern Language

Kula observes, cultivates, and plays with patterns and practices to restore the relationship between water, land, and community. We do this by engaging with the interplay between natural systems and the built environment. Our goal is to design thoughtful and timely interventions that catalyze bioregional regeneration and capture them in the form of a pattern language. The Pattern Langauge serves as the actionable and replicable culmination of Kula's body of work, created in collaboration with our partner organizations, community groups, and clients.
