How can I learn to live in this place?
Greater Tkaronto Bioregion
By Kiran Topiwala
This past week, I attended the 7-Generation Bioregional Earth Summit in the Greater Tkaronto Bioregion. So much happened, and I can’t possibly put everything into words here, but I do want to pose this question here that was presented at the summit that captures the essence of Bioregional Learning: “How can I learn to live in this place?”
If we can learn to live in our places, wherever we are, we can truly begin to find our way back home and learn to live within our environment again. This is what it’s all about. Being in right relationship. Learning to BE, learning to DO peace.
Without even knowing it, this question has guided me for so long, and when I heard it posed at the summit, I resonated with it so deeply. I still feel high. Reinvigorated. We are birthing Bioregional Earth. Let’s do this!!
